Anne Celeste Heche (born in 1939) was an American actress who played various characters on television, in movies and the theater. Her work has been recognized with numerous awards such as Daytime Emmy Award. Anne Lockhart was born Anne Kathleen Maloney on September 6, 1953. She is an American actress. She is most well-known as the character Lieutenant Sheba, in the 1978-1979 television show Battlestar Galactica. She is the granddaughter and daughter of actors Gene Lockhart. Lockhart started her acting career at a young age. The first time she appeared on screen was aged four, when she appeared on T is for Tumbleweed. The film, which was a short one subject, was considered for nomination to an Oscar award. Lockhart learned the business management skills of the company with her mother during the shoot. Lockhart was featured in a variety of episodes of Lassie. The first film she appeared in is Dora in Jory in 1972. The Sixth Sense starred her as Joan Crawford's Joan Crawford daughter at age 18. Joan was the last actor to make an appearance in The Sixth Sense. There is a rumor that Anne was not interested in playing Laurie Strode, the character in the horror film of John Carpenter's movie Halloween. The role was eventually played by Jaime Lee Curtis. Carpenter says that the actress rejected his proposal to play Laurie Strode. Anne does not recall ever being invited from John Carpenter or being offered the role. It's possible that an agent rejected the offer on her behalf, without notifying the actress. Glen Larson chose her initially and sent her a preliminarily written script. She would play in the TV series Battlestar Galactica, which aired beginning in 1978. Her initial reaction was to decline the role because the character didn't seem robust. Then Glen wrote a new part exclusively for her featuring an even stronger character called Sheba. After reading the first 25 pages of script The Living Legend she accepted the part immediately. The show ran for one season. She was in Joyride in a film from 1977 co-starring Desi Arnaz Jr. Melanie Griffith Robert Carradine (son Desi Arnaz Jr. Lucille and Lucille) and with Robert Carradine. In 1987 she co-starred alongside Michael Moriarty and The Dark Tower.
